For anyone who wants to learn how to move more freely and easily, to carry less stress in your body, to stop doing the things that cause you pain. In Awareness Through Movement (ATM) lessons, people engage in verbally directed, precisely structured movement explorations that involve thinking, sensing, moving, and imagining. ATM lessons attempt to make one aware of his/her habitual neuromuscular patterns and rigidities and help to discover how to move more comfortably and efficiently. Students often experience immediate improvements in posture, lightness of movement, and freedom from chronic discomforts. Meets every Tuesday and Thursday, 12:00 – 1:00 p.m., Bldg. 46, Room 271. Classes are free. Contact, Erika Gasperikova x4930.
